Pete Schultz is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist with advanced expertise in the management of persistent pain through a biopsychosocial model of wellness. He holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Temple University and has earned advanced certification in Pain Reprocessing Therapy as well as Advanced Vestibular Therapy from UPMC Medical Center.
Pete is recognized for his lectures at New York University, Hospital for Special Surgery, and SUNY College of Optometry, where he regularly teaches students and clinicians on topics including headache, migraine, concussion management, persistent pain, and the clinical use of biofeedback. His work emphasizes integrating traditional physical therapy with behavioral therapies, mindfulness, and evidence-based neuroscience approaches.
An active contributor to the field, Pete has published and presented research on migraine and continues to advance education in the rehabilitation of patients with complex pain and neurological conditions. He has a particular clinical interest in vestibular rehabilitation and specializes in the treatment of BPPV, vertigo, and post-concussion syndrome.
In addition to his academic and research contributions, Pete consults with professional and amateur sports organizations, including the New York Mets, on concussion management and injury prevention. He has also served on the medical team for the New York City Ironman Triathlon, supporting athletes at the highest level of competition.
